Rogue Blight Guides Hub
First hour, combat, dual-wield builds, bosses, walkthrough, and New Game+ — mapped for launch week.
Rogue Blight launched on Steam on 3 September 2026 as a 2D souls-like rogue-lite from CodeRadGames. This hub is the map of every launch-week guide on the wiki. The notes below come from official Steam copy, the still-available demo (app 2336830), and public footage. They are not a private complete database, and they do not invent numeric DPS.
Price at launch is $12.99 with an intro discount through 17 September 2026. Steam lists Very Positive reviews, 94 achievements, full controller support, and Windows, macOS, and Linux builds. Adam Greenlee wrote the soundtrack. Use this page to pick the right article instead of rereading the same systems on every URL.
How to use this hub
If you just installed the game, start with getting started and controls. If you already died to the first forest elite, skip to combat and weapons and builds. If a chapter boss is on the next node, open bosses and the story walkthrough. After the credits, use New Game+, Challenge Maps, and permanent upgrades to decide how hard the next loop should be. The review is the buy/skip write-up.
Ranked takes live on the tier list hub. Patch and launch notes live on updates. Official store and developer links sit on the links hub.
First hour
The first hour is a tutorial grave, a character look, and Waywood Forest. You learn stamina attacks, a dodge with invincibility frames, jump (hold for height), potion drinking, and left and right weapon skills. Then the map opens: enemy, unknown/event, chest, shop, statue, bonfire, blacksmith, and boss nodes. Getting started covers when to fight versus shop. Node icons and event types are expanded on map encounters.
Death ends the run. Gold and Funguy spend between attempts on permanent unlocks so the next forest is not identical. That loop is the whole point of a rogue-lite with souls combat: you get better at the fight, and the account gets a wider loot table.
Combat and controls
Combat is one-on-one. Even a forest trash mob has a combo, a punish window, and a status bar. Stamina pays for swings and dodges. Mouse aim changes swing and skill direction. Press X to swap health and mana potions. Parry exists, most clearly on the parrying dagger. Read controls for keyboard, mouse, and controller, then combat for spacing and potion timing.
Statuses named on Steam — Bleed, Poison, Burn, Freeze, Shock, Choke, Shatter, Life Splash, Darkness, and Light Struck — apply to regular enemies and bosses. The status effects page is the name-by-name reference. Do not assume a wiki invented proc rates; launch-week guidance only repeats numbers that showed up in official copy or on-screen footage.
Weapons, builds, and blessings
Every weapon is one-handed. Mix swords, daggers, wands, or a left-hand-only shield. Dual-wield any combo. Same-type pairs in public footage swing together with a damage and status-apply cut; mixed pairs still give you two skills. Blessings rewrite the run. The blacksmith smelts spare gear into upgrades. Weapons and builds explains pairing without faking a full item sheet.
When you want a ranked call instead of a rules explainer, use the weapons tier list, builds tier list, and blessings tier list. Those lists will move as patches land; this hub will not pretend launch week is a frozen meta.
Bosses and story chapters
Story mode is three chapters: Waywood Forest, Fireworn City, and Blight Castle. Official materials list about 17 story bosses, including Gorilla, Wendigo (the chapter 1 / demo closer), Statue Dweller, Illdrake Knight, Royal Rotter, Blight Lady, and The Blight. The developer has also mentioned a giant dragon. Bosses is tells and arena habits. The walkthrough is the chapter path. Challenge Maps are the one-life side contracts: harder layouts, high currency — fail and you must find another during story runs. Permanent upgrades cover Fungi, the Sanctuary, and legendary sets.
After the credits
Infinite New Game+ raises enemy damage, speed, health, size, and status apply rate. That is the long-term game, not a bonus dungeon you play once. New Game+ is the scaling loop. The review is the launch-week verdict if you are still deciding whether the intro price is your kind of punishment.
If you only open one page after this hub, make it getting started and then fight the first Waywood elite with potion swap already bound in your hands.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Where should a new Rogue Blight player start?
Play the in-game tutorial, then read getting started and controls. Your first real exam is a Waywood Forest elite, not the credits.
Does this wiki list every weapon and exact DPS?
No. Steam says 50+ one-handed weapons. Named examples on these pages come from official copy, the demo, and public footage. Ranked opinions live on the weapons tier list.
Is the demo still available after the 3 September 2026 launch?
Yes. Steam still lists the Rogue Blight demo as app 2336830. The demo is Waywood Forest with a documented level cap; the full game adds Fireworn City, Blight Castle, and infinite New Game+. Store URLs are on the links hub.
What are Challenge Maps?
Harder, high-currency maps with one attempt. Fail, and you must find another during story runs. Details sit in the walkthrough and New Game+ pages.
How does New Game+ change the game?
Each cycle increases enemy damage, speed, health, size, and status apply rate. There is no published cap. Read New Game+ before you spend all of your gold on cosmetics.
Where are the ranked lists?
Start at the tier list hub, then open weapons, builds, and blessings. Guides explain rules; tier pages argue priority.
