Rogue Blight System Requirements
Windows, macOS, and Linux specs from Steam, plus controller, Cloud, and Deck notes.
Rogue Blight shipped on Steam on 3 September 2026 for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It is a 2D souls-like rogue-lite, not a ray-traced triple-A, but the store still asks for 7 GB and a DirectX 10-class GPU on PC. This page copies the Steam system requirements as listed at launch, then adds input, Cloud, achievements, and an honest Steam Deck paragraph. If your hardware is close to the minimum, try the still-available demo (app 2336830) before you buy.
Confirm live numbers on the Steam store page — CodeRadGames can raise storage after a patch. Day-one recap, price, and DLC sit on the launch notes. If you are still deciding whether the combat is for you, read the review after you glance at these specs.
Windows
Minimum
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz or equivalent
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA 9600GT or ATI Radeon HD 5000+ or better
- DirectX: Version 10
- Storage: 7 GB available space
Recommended
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5
- Memory: 6 GB RAM
- Graphics: GeForce GTX 970
- DirectX: Version 10
- Storage: 7 GB available space
The minimum GPU line is old on purpose. A 9600GT / HD 5000-class card is a 2008–2010 part; anything still running Windows 10 with a dual-core 2.8 GHz chip is the floor, not a promise of 60 FPS at 1080p with every effect on. The recommended GTX 970 / i5 / 6 GB line is the “stop worrying” spec. If you are on integrated graphics from the last decade, start with the demo and drop effects in the options menu if the frame time hitch during dual-wield swings.
macOS
Minimum
- OS: macOS 10.12+ (64-bit)
- Processor: Apple M1 or Intel Core i5
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Storage: 7 GB available space
Steam’s own client dropped support for macOS 10.14 and lower in February 2024. The game still lists 10.12+ as the title minimum. In practice you need a Steam client that will install, which means a newer macOS than 10.14 for most buyers. M1 and later are the comfortable path. Intel i5 Macs that still run a current Steam client should meet the CPU line; 4 GB RAM is the listed floor, not a luxury.
Linux (SteamOS + Linux tab)
Minimum
- OS: Ubuntu 14.04
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz or equivalent
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA 9600GT or ATI Radeon HD 5000+ or better
- Storage: 7 GB available space
Recommended
- OS: Ubuntu 14.04
- Processor: Intel Core i5
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: GeForce GTX 970
- Storage: 7 GB available space
Ubuntu 14.04 is what Steam prints, not a recommendation to install a 2014 ISO. Use a current Ubuntu LTS, Fedora, Arch, or SteamOS and expect to need 64-bit drivers for that GTX 970-class GPU. Proton / native binary details can change; if the Linux build misbehaves, the demo is the bug report platform CodeRadGames already used for years.
Input, Cloud, and Steam features
Steam lists full controller support, including Xbox controllers, plus a keyboard-only option under accessibility. The combat is stamina-gated and mouse-aim helps sword swings, but you are not required to use a mouse. Playtest and full-game marketing both promised keyboard/mouse and controller. Custom volume controls are listed. Accessibility also includes save anytime as a gameplay flag.
Other store flags at launch:
- Single-player only
- Steam Achievements — 94 on the full game (the older playtest listed 74; do not mix those lists)
- Steam Cloud
- Steam Leaderboards
- Family Sharing
Cloud matters because death is punishing and runs are long enough to walk away from. If you switch from a desktop to a laptop, wait for Cloud to finish before you open a Challenge Map — those maps are one attempt.
Steam Deck
Be precise, because the store and the developer site say different things about different builds:
- The demo was described on coderadgames.com as supporting Windows, Mac, Linux, and as Steam Deck compatible, with mouse/keyboard and controller.
- The full game’s Steam Deck compatibility on the Steam store is listed as Unknown at launch.
Unknown is not Verified, Playable, or Unsupported. It means Valve has not published a Deck report for app 1890310 yet. Full controller support and a 2D presentation are encouraging. Small UI text, 7 GB, and Cloud saves are the practical checklist: try the demo on Deck if you still have it installed, then buy the full game knowing the badge is not there yet. We will not pretend a Verified icon exists.
Handheld PCs that are not Deck (Windows handhelds with a GTX 970-class or better iGPU / dGPU) should look at the Windows recommended line, not the Deck badge.
DLC storage
The soundtrack (Adam Greenlee, MP3 and FLAC) lists 100 MB minimum and extra space for high-quality audio. The digital artbook is a PDF opened from the main menu or the DigitalArtbookDLC folder and lists 100 MB. Neither replaces the 7 GB game install.
Buying checklist
- OS matches a listed platform (Win 10, a Steam-supported macOS, or a current 64-bit Linux).
- 7 GB free, plus Cloud headroom.
- Controller optional; keyboard-only is officially flagged.
- Demo still up if you want a hardware test.
- Deck buyers: demo was compatible; full game Unknown — decide with that in mind.
- Intro offer through 17 September 2026 is a price fact, not a spec fact; see launch notes.
If the game launches and then hitch-stops on a dual-wield swing, drop resolution before you assume the GTX 970 line was a lie. This is a 2D game with a lot of unique skills and status VFX; CPU-side hitching is as likely as GPU-side. File a report with CodeRadGames through Steam or Discord rather than assuming the wiki can patch your driver.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Can I run Rogue Blight on Steam Deck?
The demo was listed Steam Deck compatible on the developer site. The full game’s Steam store Deck status is Unknown at launch. That is not a Verified badge and not a hard no. Try the demo if you still have it.
Does it support a controller?
Yes. Steam lists full controller support, including Xbox controllers, and a keyboard-only accessibility option. Mouse-aim helps melee swings but is not required.
Is there Steam Cloud?
Yes. Cloud, 94 achievements, and leaderboards all shipped. Let Cloud finish before you open a one-attempt Challenge Map on a second PC.
How much disk space do I need?
7 GB for the game on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Soundtrack and artbook DLC list about 100 MB each, more if you keep FLAC files.
Where do I read about the launch price and platforms?
On the launch notes. If you want a play-feel opinion after the specs, read the review.
