Rogue Blight Demo Patch Notes

Public Steam news for demo 1.10–1.18.2, Medieval Fest, and what 1.0 actually announced.

Demo Patch Notes

This page is the public demo patch log for Rogue Blight, taken from Steam news. CodeRadGames kept a free demo (app 2336830) on Steam for years, then numbered the later demo builds 1.10 through 1.18.2 and shipped a Medieval Fest content drop in between. The full game launched on 3 September 2026. As of 4 September 2026, the only 1.0 Steam news post is that launch announcement. This wiki will not invent 1.0 hotfixes.

Day-one systems — Challenge Maps, infinite New Game+, and 94 achievements — belong on the launch notes. The short timeline lives on the updates hub. First-hour play for the live build belongs in getting started. Official store and Discord URLs belong on the links hub.

The video on this page is the real Steam-embedded Next Fest / 11,000-wishlist announcement clip. It is not a patch trailer and it is not a second 1.0 cinematic.

How to read these notes

Every row below is a demo Steam news fact. Weapon ranges, Zima HP, and legendary-drop shares are the numbers CodeRadGames published for those builds. They are not a promise that 1.0 still uses the same figures. When a later demo patch overwrites an earlier one, the later row wins for the demo.

Rogue Blight is single-player. A friends leaderboard row is a Steam list view, not a second player in the arena.

Demo 1.10 — Sanctuary, shops, and early weapons

1.10 mixed a hub fix with shop and starter-weapon numbers.

  • Sanctuary stuck. Players could lock themselves in the hub. That room matters later: 1.18.2 had to make achievements unlock correctly when you visit Sanctuary.
  • Friends leaderboard display capped at a maximum of 10.
  • Steam Deck D-Pad could drive menus.
  • Keyboard movement could be rebound.
  • Wooden wand damage 12–13 → 13–14.
  • Iron dagger damage 15–16 → 16–17, and its skill gained +5% damage.
  • All weapons and shields cost 20 gold in the shop.
  • Undead Goblin Mage gained a pre-explosion warning.

If you are still on the first map, the practical takeaway is a flat 20-gold shop and a slightly stronger wand or iron dagger. Pair that with getting started. Deck menu work here is demo input history; the full game’s Deck badge is a separate store fact on system requirements.

Demo 1.11 — Steam Input, Wendigo fungi, Thebe, brightness

  • Steam Input became the default for controllers except Xbox.
  • Wendigo minions no longer drop fungi. Farm fungi from the rest of the map and the hub lines on permanent upgrades, not from the chapter-1 closer’s adds. Wendigo itself stays on bosses.
  • Map complete reward was tripled.
  • Aghast and Mimic Head no longer grant an extra 10 forge.
  • Russian and Hungarian localization.
  • Thebe upgrade menu now opens on the General tab automatically.
  • Brightness defaulted to 50%.

Thebe is the upgrade-menu character in these notes. A later patch adds Thebe’s Beehive as a legendary. Forge income and fungi income both moved in the same build: minion fungi gone, map-complete payout up, two named enemies no longer handing out bonus forge.

Demo 1.12 — Traditional Chinese unknown node, Dex/Int

  • Traditional Chinese could stick on a ? node (unknown event).
  • Dexterity and Intelligence were swapped in Chinese text.

A deadlock on unknown is a run-ender, which is why it got its own post. If you play in English, the Dex/Int swap does not apply. If you play in Chinese, trust the live tooltip, not an old screenshot.

Demo 1.13 — anvil blessing, D-pad map, gear, mouse wheel

  • Anvil blessing now interacts with smelt points.
  • D-pad could be used on the map.
  • Gear selection fixes.
  • Mouse wheel support.

Anvil is a blacksmith-adjacent blessing. Rank known relics on the blessings list; this patch is why anvil text talks about smelt points. D-pad map plus 1.10’s Deck menus is the demo’s handheld control pass.

Demo 1.14 — map paths and Polish

  • Map path generation no longer skewed heavily to the right.
  • Polish localization.

This is the routing patch. Before 1.14, generated graphs leaned right, which made “always go left” a fake skill. After 1.14, the branch you pick is the actual run. Chapter routing still belongs in the guides hub, not in a patch bullet.

Demo 1.15 — Unity security

  • Engine bump Unity 2022.3.24f1 → 2022.3.62f2 for security.

No combat changelog in that post. Install the current build. Do not stay on 24f1 because a friend mailed you an old depot.

Medieval Fest major demo update

Steam’s Medieval Fest window carried a content drop, not a tiny hotfix.

Legendary sets: Zima, Bloody Gorilla, Sibs Glasses, Wendigo.

Also in that post:

  • Cartographer (the map-reading line that later produces Chart / Map Fragment blessings).
  • Starting gear can apply run buffs.
  • Meta upgrades for HP, Mana, Stamina, Defense, Elemental, and Status.
  • A Zima unknown event.
  • Strength contributes to crit damage, not poise.
  • Save reset, with 100 Fungi granted.

The save reset is the scary line. If you came back from Medieval Fest to an empty demo profile, that was the published reset, not a silent Cloud wipe of 1.0. The 100 Fungi grant was the compensation — spend it on the new HP / Mana / Stamina / Def / Elem / Status lines with the rest of the hub on permanent upgrades. Starting-gear run buffs are why the first loadout picker is not cosmetic.

Zima appears twice in this drop: as a legendary set and as an unknown-event encounter. 1.17 later moves that encounter and cuts its HP. Bloody Gorilla and Wendigo sets are named after bosses. They are gear families. Gorilla Smash timing is a separate 1.17 combat note, not a Medieval Fest rewrite of the duel.

Demo 1.17 — legendaries, weapon arts, combat rules, Zima, seeds

1.17 is the dense systems patch.

New legendaries: Thebe’s Beehive, Boots of Endurance.

Weapon arts on Parrying Dagger, Iron Dagger, Iron Sword, Iron Rapier, and Ice Wand.

Combat and economy:

  • Target FPS option.
  • Potions usable on the map and in cutscenes.
  • Legendary Drop Chance upgrade can be bought twice.
  • Multi-target hits.
  • Boss phase 2 stun immunity ends earlier (the immunity window closes sooner, so stun becomes available again sooner).
  • Legendary sets fell from 87% → 62.5% of legendary drops, so more non-set legendaries appear in that bucket.
  • Gorilla Smash wind-up +30% — more time to read the slam on bosses.
  • Parrying Dagger and Buckler skills now consume stamina.
  • Mana Shield rework: no mana cost, −25% skill costs for 6 seconds, 10 second cooldown.
  • Zima only appears in the second half of a run; HP 335 → 300.
  • Seed system for shops and chests.
  • Controller potion default on X.

Read 1.17 as a readability and fairness pass. Gorilla’s smash starts later. Mana Shield is no longer a mana sink; it is a short skill-cost discount on a 10s cooldown. Parry and buckler players must budget stamina the same way they already budget rolls. The seed system means a given run’s shops and chests are deterministic from the seed, which is why two players can compare a shop without accusing the generator of moving. Legendary set share dropping to 62.5% is why you should not assume every legendary is Zima, Bloody Gorilla, Sibs Glasses, Wendigo, Beehive, or Boots.

Target FPS and potion-on-X sit with the rest of the input notes on system requirements. Buying Legendary Drop Chance twice is a permanent upgrades spend, not an in-run blessing.

Demo 1.18 — bonfire refill, audio, Skull icon, more languages

  • Refill potions is a bonfire button (including the case where the button could disable when flasks were already full).
  • Sanctuary music no longer plays twice after a map.
  • Volume fixes.
  • Skull node icon.
  • Korean and Ukrainian localization.

Bonfire refill is a node convenience. The button lives on the fire; permanent upgrades are still what make potion economy worth planning. Skull is an icon pass so a dangerous node is readable at map zoom. Volume and the doubled Sanctuary track are audio bugs, not new biomes.

Demo 1.18.2 — Sanctuary achievements, Cartographer blessings

  • Achievements unlock correctly when you visit Sanctuary.
  • Cartographer’s Chart and Map Fragment blessings were removed from the demo on higher difficulties.

If a demo achievement sat locked after you thought you had earned it, walk into Sanctuary on 1.18.2+. The named 1.0 list and the 94-count recap are on achievements. Chart and Map Fragment were the Cartographer line from Medieval Fest; they are not in the demo’s harder ladders after 1.18.2. Do not build a high-difficulty demo run around them. For live 1.0 blessing ranks, use the blessings tier list.

What 1.0 added (not a demo patch)

On 3 September 2026, Steam launched the full game. The launch news highlighted Challenge Maps, New Game+, and 94 achievements. Those are 1.0 features, not 1.18.2 rows.

There is no second 1.0 Steam news post in this log as of 4 September 2026. When CodeRadGames publishes one, it will land on the updates hub, not as a silent rewrite of 1.17’s dagger numbers. Until then, treat this page as demo history and the launch recap as the 1.0 inventory.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Did Rogue Blight get more 1.0 Steam patches after launch?

Not as of 4 September 2026. The only 1.0 Steam news post is the 3 September 2026 launch announcement. This page is demo 1.10–1.18.2 plus Medieval Fest. Day-one recap: launch notes.

Is the demo still the right place to read these numbers?

Yes for this log. Wooden wand 13–14, iron dagger 16–17, Zima HP 300, and 62.5% set share are demo Steam news figures. They are not a claim that 1.0 still prints the same tooltips. The demo remains on Steam as app 2336830.

What did the Medieval Fest demo update change?

Legendary sets Zima, Bloody Gorilla, Sibs Glasses, and Wendigo; Cartographer; starting-gear run buffs; HP/Mana/Stamina/Def/Elem/Status upgrades; a Zima unknown event; Strength to crit damage instead of poise; and a save reset with 100 Fungi.

What did demo 1.18.2 change?

Achievements unlock correctly when you visit Sanctuary. Cartographer’s Chart and Map Fragment were removed from the demo on higher difficulties. Details: achievements.

Why is a Next Fest video on a patch page?

It is the real Steam-embedded announcement clip from the 11,000-wishlist / Next Fest window, which sat next to demo 1.18. It is not a 1.0 patch trailer.

Where do Challenge Maps and New Game+ belong?

They are 1.0 launch features, not demo patch rows. See Challenge Maps and New Game+.
